Brooke Johnson was born and raised in Orlando, Fl. She attended the University of Florida, where her studies sparked her interest in nursing. After graduating from UF with Bachelors in Science in Nursing, she began her nursing career at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Her area of practice was focused on post thoracic surgical care in pulmonary disease and lung transplantation. This experience introduced her to oncology nursing.

Ms. Johnson then moved back to her home town to further her studies in nursing. While attending the University of Central Florida, she worked in the oncology unit at Winter Park Memorial Hospital. During that time she discovered her passion in oncology care. Ms. Johnson’s dedication to caring for patients with cancer became a focus in her studies. Her final literature review, “Barriers to Psychosocial Care in Patient’s with Cancer” was reflective of her devotion to oncology nursing.

Ms. Johnson then graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Masters of Science in Nursing and is a nationally certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Central Florida Advance Nursing Practice Council. In her spare time she enjoys the beach, snow skiing, hiking, reading and Gator Football!
